We went on a Friday night, the brewery across the street was packed so we walked across to Check's. The bar was packed bar with boomers. The two bartenders where possibly the worst bartenders I've ever had the pleasure of buying from. The servers walked about the bar carrying food, yelling the customers name to find where the food should be delivered. We had to stand in the main walk way while we waited for someone to leave before we found a table... So why 5-stars? Check's is a local bar, and offers a 5-star, local experience. No tourists, no BS cocktail menu. Just a bunch of people drinking cheap beer and having a great time. We finally got a table right about the time the band started up which truly make for a fun experience. The music was awesome and the crowd lively. You don't come to Check's if you are hoping for a pretentious cocktail or $8 craft beer, you come to Check's to hang out with friends, drink a PBR and have a carefree good time.

This Reuben was surprisingly the best I've had so far. Made on toasted bread, and the real special thing about it was that the meat, cheese, and sauerkraut were all shredded together. Made for a flavorful and satisfying sandwich. The business was very packed for a week day afternoon, and service was fast and efficient.

Yummy food. I ordered my food and they had it ready so fast. I wish they would put more fries in their orders but I always won’t more fries.
